The first few lines are crucial. Open with a statement that encapsulates who you are and what you offer. Notice I said, who you are and not what you look like. That’s what great pictures are for! You don’t need to describe your luscious curls or the smoothness of your skin. WHO. ARE. YOU? Also, lots of ad directories require a tagline which gives you for first chance to appeal to your ideal client. Write something witty or a provide brief description of your primary service. 


Be Authentic

Authenticity builds trust. Speak from the heart and be genuine about your offerings, your experience, and what makes you passionate about your work. Clients enjoy providers that are committed to providing the best experience possible. Expressing your enthusiasm for your work instills confidence that their investment will be well placed.

What sets you apart from others in the industry? Whether it's your years of experience, or a particular service you offer, make you mention it! When people come to see providers they are coming to see the person first and foremost but if you do have unique or alluring physical attributes, this would be a good place to mention them.

Include Relevant Credentials

If you have any certifications, qualifications, or affiliations relevant to your business or service, mention them. It boosts your credibility.

Include a Call to Action (CTA)

End your "About Me" section with a clear CTA. Whether you want visitors to contact you, check out your website, or unveil a special offer – make sure you guide them on the next steps.

Keep it Concise

Did you know it takes on average 10 to 20 seconds before a viewer typically leaves a page? Long-winded blurbs are overly thorough at best and boring at worst. Ad directory users often skim through multiple listings so aim to keep your key messages concise. Avoid long paragraphs; instead, use bullet points or short, impactful sentences.

Proofread and Update

Before publishing, proofread your "About Me" section for any typos or grammatical errors. Also, revisit and update your section periodically to ensure it remains current and relevant. And for the love of god don’t use emojis.
